As a result of our fast-paced acquisition strategy, an opportunity has opened up in our Geosciences & Engineering Finance team for a Finance Analyst. As the Finance Analyst you will work with the businesses within the division, offering support dependent on business requirements, and ensuring provision of accurate and timely financial information.

Whilst this is a full time positionwe offer flexible and hybrid working . You would report to the Finance Business Partner and be based at our Hemel Hempstead office a minimum of two days a week, with the remainder of the week working remotely. There will also be occasional travel, all expensed, to our other offices across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity whereby you will be providing a range of financial analysis and reporting to the senior team of this rapidly growing Division. You will be working to continually develop management reporting and support the businesses within the Division to meet their business performance objectives. The requirements may change depending on the needs of the management at the time, but will include: 

  • Production and review of financial reports for the Division
  • Collate financial data and prepare relevant reports tailored to specific requirements
  • Monitor and interrogate KPI’s and track trends
  • Provide meaningful insights to key financial information
  • Complete variance analysis to provide understanding of deviations from budget
  • Aid the Division in the management of working capital
  • Assist in evaluating and developing current reporting processes
  • Support the FBP with project accounting
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the Divisional leadership team as required

Desired Experience:

You will have a passion for finance and analysis and potentially be in the early stages of your financial career (minimum 1-2 years).  You may already be working towards relevant accountancy qualifications (e.g. AAT, CIMA, ACCA), or willing to study to gain the relevant professional qualifications.

Salary and benefits: 

  • £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
